THE entire cast of Banana Split, ABS-CBN’s primetime entertainment television show, moved out of the national capital to do their location shoot at Cebu City’s newest landmark hotel, the Crown Regency Hotel & Towers in Osmeña Boulevard from September 18 20, 2009.
Those who were prominently seen at the hotel’s lobby while greeting some surprised and amazed fans were boy-next door cutie John Pratts, the sexy yet with an angelic face Angelica Panganiban, the dashing tan-skinned model Zanjoe Marudo, the body-beautiful Pau Diaz, funny men Jason Gainza, Ketchup, and Pooh. With them is the show’s executive producer Edgar Bobot Mortiz..
The entire cast & crew were treated to a hearty lunch buffet at Club Ultima’s Wang Shan Lo restaurant, surprising more hotel guests who never had an inkling that their famous television hosts and idols would be dining with them that day. Some guests dared to stand up and approached their faves for an instant picture taking, of which the artists willingly obliged. Well, that’s the price one pays for being a famous celebrity!.
In one scene where Zanjoe Marudo was dressed up as a Bellman, those who witnessed the shooting could only heave a sigh at this looker that even the hotel’s GM was surprised to see an extremely good-looking Adonis of a bellman among his staff..
On the second and third days of their shoots in Cebu City, they were joined in by Wowowee co-hosts RR Herrera and comedienne Pokwang..

Many shoots were taken, notably from Club Ultima’s Aqua Fitness Pool at the 15th floor and at the more popular Sky Extreme Adventure as well as the Edge Coaster..

After Manny “Pacman” Pacquiao’s triumphant bout against the “Hitman” Hatton, the fun and excitement continued right after the Going Bulilit’s arrival at the Crown Regency Hotel and Towers. The famous Bulilit kids, staff and crew were ecstatic to get the adventure started but, of course, not without empty stomachs! The group enjoyed a hearty meal at the renowned Chinese Restaurant, Wang Shan Lo.

The kids were so eager to get the party started! Obediently heading to the 18th Floor in one line, the kids allowed fans and hotel guests to take pictures with them while awaiting their turn at the 4D showing of the Lost Island. One hand was raised after another in great anticipation of the adventure that was to come! As the kids were transported to a world that awakened all their senses, they could not help but squeal with delight! All the more when it was their turn to ride the first-in-the-world Edge Coaster on the 38th floor!

As certain scenes were shot on location, the rest of the cast enjoyed the 360-degree view of the city while on a full tilt aboard the Edge Coaster or viewed the city span through the lenses of the Sky telescopes. Their energy levels were way up the fun meter even at their last stop — the Skywalk Extreme. Despite the time constraint, some of the kids were still able to walk the outer rim of the tower ¼ of the way.

“I wish we had more time!” one of the kids said. It was another happy-ending that will surely be accounted for in the rest of the Sky Experience Adventure’s history.
